That sounds nice, but it's vague. What does that mean? How do you do it? And how do you sell? So let's get more detailed. 4 types of content: - Emotion Creating - This is primarily for social media and email. Emotion posts tend to not rank in search engines. They create strong emotions in your readers, like motivation or feeling seen.
- Applicable Value - This is probably what you think of when you hear "value." It covers how-to guides, listicles, infographics and everything else that someone might read and think "I should save this."
- Insightful Ideas - Insights are halfway between emotion and value. They're a bit hard to explain. They present an idea to people. Usually that idea is more on the applicable value side of things.
- Straight Pitches - When it's time to sell, you write a pitch. On a sales page or email, all you're doing is persuading. On social media, you might add some audience appeal to get engagement.
Additional notes: - Value posts work everywhere. Social, search, and email. They're very versatile. Just don't forget to add persuasion and branding to them.
- Emotion, insight, and pitches are better for social media and email. Email is especially good for pitches. These won't rank in search.
- Usually, the best strategy for a content brand is to mix in all of these. Value, emotion, insight, and pitches. Find the perfect blend.
