How to Write Like Hemingway
Think you're not in a position to learn how to write like Hemingway?
Many business people faced with the task of writing for marketing purposes are quick to say:
"Hey, I'm no Hemingway!"
But really, who better than Hemingway to emulate? Rather than embracing the flowery prose of the literati, he chose to eschew obfuscation at every turn and write simply and clearly.
Get Ernest Hemingway's top 5 tips for writing well.
Your Financial Success is His Business
Todd Tresidder has built his successful two-stage career by walking the walk.
First, he became a self-made millionaire by learning how wealth is really created and spotting the contradictions in what is often taught. Then, he helped others do the same at Financial Mentor by creating frameworks and guides that help people ignore the noise and focus their financial decision-making on what will actually help them build wealth.
And along the way, he's proven to be a believer in a concept Brian Clark discussed most recently in the first lesson of Unemployable's Community Commerce Essentials — two of the seven questions Brian outlined for finding your winning difference: who does your audience want to become and who do you want your audience to become?
That latter part is what really sets Todd apart, because he wants his financial mentees to view their path to financial freedom as a path toward personal growth as well. In fact, he views them as one and the same, as you'll find out in this week's edition of 7-Figure Small.

It's Kind of Genius
I first heard the phrase "it's kind of genius" in copy for the meditation app Headspace. Emma Watson tweeted the phrase and Headspace promoted it as a testimonial:
Dare I say it? It was a kind of genius move on Headspace's part — a sort of one-two punch since the testimonial itself builds trust and also uses conversational language their prospective customers might use.
Since then, I've seen variations of "it's kind of genius" to describe all sorts of products, from virtual payment cards to wine delivery services.
Now, if everything is genius, nothing is genius, so this week's writing tip is a friendly reminder to use swipe copy with caution. While there are many tried-and-true phrases that can help you get results, every audience is different.
You want to customize your message with the words your audience uses. See what your customers or clients are saying about your products or services to help prospects discover your own unique brilliance.
