22 Sure-Fire Headline Formulas that Work
Looking for the best headline formulas to promote your top content?
Let's move beyond the common ones you see over and over -- like "how to" -- and bring some new blood to the mix with these 22 titles (with headline examples) you can customize for your audience.
Remember, with headline formulas, you must understand why they work before trying to use them. When you understand why the original headlines worked, you'll be able to select an appropriate structure, and you'll be a better headline writer in general.
If you don't, you might not only write a bad headline, you might come off looking bad in general. Keeping that in mind, jump straight to these 22 sure-fire headline formulas that work.
Could Working from Home Widen the Soft Skills Gap?
An increasing number of surveys have reported that employers are struggling to find recent college graduates who possess supposed "soft skills" -- interpersonal, communication, listening, and critical-thinking abilities.
This dilemma could be the result of colleges valuing technical skills over liberal arts in recent years. Or, younger generations are simply spending a large amount of time online where they don't regularly strengthen their soft-skill muscles.
Which begs the question, could working from home make the soft skills gap even worse? Discover more about the state of the soft skills gap from freelance writer Auroriele Hans.
How to Achieve Sustained Success as an Independent Creator
Back in November of 2020, this week's guest on 7-Figure Small tweeted, "It's hard to overstate how monumental and empowering the digital revolution has been for independent creators."
His name is Corbett Barr, he's one of the founders of Fizzle, and for the past decade-plus he's been at the forefront of this revolution, creating successful content and products while helping other creators do the same.
During the show, Corbett and fellow digital pioneer Brian Clark discuss some of the lessons they've each learned that will help us all succeed as independent creators in 2021 and beyond.

Swipe Copy Like a Pro
A template should be treated like a wise teacher.
When you come across headline templates like the ones above, a popular blog post format, or an influencer outreach email outline, study why the template appears to be effective. How does it help you achieve your objective?
For example, a standard influencer outreach email might require that you first get to know the person you're going to email more personally. That requires time, effort, and patience.
You might post thoughtful comments on their blog or intelligently reply to their social media updates. Then, when it's time to send your email, your established online relationship with them will help you stand out.
If you're going to write how-to articles or list posts, figure out how those compositions can help you provide useful tutorials that will grow your audience.
Your favorite templates can guide you, but you obviously don't want to copy them exactly. That's why I always emphasize the importance of practice. Your own winning content marketing depends on your own creativity.
Finding your own style is a continual process because you're constantly evolving as a person as you evolve as an artist. The most successful content marketers have studied essential conversion models while simultaneously expanding the definition of smart content with their innovative work.
