The right way to take advantage of email marketing

First, Brian Clark wrote about how, when it comes to email marketing, you're no longer just "list building" in the abstract. You aren't just trying to get as many people on the list as possible -- you're trying to get the right people.

Brian says, "They say the money is in the list, but that's not necessarily true -- it's got to be the right list that takes the right people on the right journey."

Second, I interviewed ConvertKit CEO Nathan Barry for the Copyblogger podcast. During this interview, we had a wide-ranging conversation where I asked Nathan everything from, "How would you build your business with email differently if you started today?" to his opinions on the rising trend of resistance to data tracking in email marketing.
